What is Young Parents?
Young Parents is a free, weekly information and support program for parents and expectant parents up to 24 years of age. Free onsite childcare is provided for children through six years of age and children receive a balanced dinner in the nursery.
The first part of each parent meeting is spent eating dinner and visiting with other moms and dads with free dinner provided to the parents. Male and female program facilitators work one-on-one with the parents to help them with individual situations. The rest of the meeting is spent in group parent education with speakers and discussion.
Who can participate?
Any parent (moms or dads) or expecting parent
from Warren County under the age of 24 is welcome. Exceptions for
those older than 24 will be made on a case by case basis.
How much does it cost?
There is no cost to the parents. It is absolutely
free!
When does Young Parents Meet?
Young Parents meets every Tuesday evening from
6:00-8:00 P.M. We take a break and don't meet the weeks of Thanksgiving,
Christmas, New Years,Spring Break, and Fourth of July.

Young Parents meet in the carpeted area of Parish Hall upstairs in NW
corner of church. The building is handicap accessible. The
children are cared for and fed in the church nursery.
Is dinner provided?
Dinner for both parents and children is provided
free of charge. Children enjoy a meal and beverage in the nursery
provided by the nursery staff. Parents dine together on meals provided
by area restaurants; just bring your pop or other beverage--the rest is
on us.
Is child care provided?
Free, onsite childcare is provided for children
six years and under while their parents attend the parent meetings. Children receive a balanced dinner in the nursery. Caregivers read to the children and involve them in fun activities while parents attend the weekly meetings.
What if I have transportation problems?
Transportation my be available if arranged in advance.
If there are transportation difficulties, please discuss them with one
of the facilitators.
